Welcome to the "2019 FBI Agents Association"

On Friday, August 16, 2019, the Milwaukee Chapter of the FBI Agents Association will play host to the Milwaukee Charity Golf Classic tournament at the Western Lakes Golf Club, W287N1963 Oakton Road, Pewaukee, WI.

Our tournament will benefit the FBI Agents Association Memorial College Education Fund (Federal Tax ID# 13-3351127).  The Children’s Education Fund was created in 1985 to memorialize the deaths of five FBI agents killed in the line of duty in 1982.  Since the inception, donations to this fund have come from a variety of sources to include government employees, citizens and private corporations.  The donations are recognized in the FBI AGENT newsletter.

The original purpose of the fund was to provide interest-free college loans to children of deceased FBI Agents.    The trust terms include natural children, step-children and legally adopted children of FBI Agents who died while still employed or within one year of retirement.  Due to the timeless efforts of our growing family of sponsors and tournament attendees throughout the country, the fund now bestows college scholarships instead of loans to these children.  In addition, spouses of deceased Agents are also eligible for these scholarships.

Qualified individuals may use the funds to obtain an Associate or Bachelor’s degree.  Since the inception of the fund, more than 250 children have received over $8 million in college scholarship money.  Recipients may attend any college, public or private, throughout the world.  During the 2017-2018 academic year over $513,000 was dispersed with the average student receiving $20,520 per year.  During the past three tournaments, FBI Milwaukee has donated over $12,000 to the fund.  Currently, there are 60 children eligible for the fund but not yet in college.

In order to support this endeavor we are seeking individual and corporate donations in the form of cash or items for our raffle, sponsoring a golf hole, sponsoring the dinner, sponsoring a drink cart or sponsoring the tournament.  Your gifts are fully tax deductible and support a worthy cause.  A copy of the IRS Determination Letter recognizing the tax exempt status of the FBI Agents Association in accordance with section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code is available upon request.

On behalf of the Milwaukee Chapter of the FBI Agent's Association, I would like to thank you for considering a donation for the 2019 golf tournament.  Please contact me at 414-489-3338 or by email at bebanner@fbi.gov for any further information or assistance.  If you prefer to make a donation without additional information, the donation may be sent to my attention at FBI Milwaukee, 3600 South Lake Drive, St. Francis, WI, 53235.

Sincerely,

Mike Kottmer, CJ Sebero, Scott Mahloch and  Brett Banner
